Diaries Index

We have many diaries in different formats in our genealogical library. Most are included along with family histories. They often provide a candid glimpse into a way of life from a different era.

The following diaries are part of the museum's collection:

Affleck, Samuel
(begins January 1, 1938 and continues until his death on April 2, 1939 at which point it is continued briefly by his daughter, Ida)

Easton, George
(begins June 7, 1830 to April 1832, then begins again in 1837and ends June 25, 1839)

McLaren, Christie
begins January 1st 1878

McKay, Mrs. Milton (nee Alice Price)
(begins May 24, 1905 and continues until December 27, 1945. It chronicles the events of the community including births and deaths. )

Tennant, Carman C.
(begins January 1919 and ends April 18, 1919)

Tennant, Joseph
(begins August 13, 1886 and ends May 22, 1888)
