The Museum is always excited to welcome new volunteers to the team!

Volunteers help with a number of tasks at the museum and in fact it is entirely operated by volunteers.
So if you like to bake, research, write or create, consider connecting with the Middleville and District Museum team. Maybe you like to dig in the dirt and design beautiful outdoor spaces. Why not give us a call? There are always light maintenance tasks and jobs that take a crew to complete.

Student Volunteer Hour Opportunities!
If you are a student or know one who needs some volunteer hours, consider the Middleville and District Museum as an option. Students can help with things like yard work or events or research. There are lots of suitable tasks available. Gain valuable experience as you fill your volunteer hour requirements. Give us a call or contact us through our social media links.

Spring is on its way and although the Museum is closed to tours, there are still opportunities to get involved.

During the off season, Museum volunteers continue to work on research for the public, updating exhibits and planning for the upcoming season. If you have some time to spare, why not contact us and lend a hand with some interesting projects.

The 2023 Season will be a busy one!

With the acquisition of additional land, the Museum has made a start on developing the landscape around the Museum. If you have an interest in gardening and like working with others who also do, then check out the opportunities for volunteering in our upcoming yard projects this spring. We have acquired new picnic tables, a bike rack and some rain barrels. New trees and shrubs have been planted. A new outdoor message center will be installed. There's lots of work to do. Make a plan to join in the activities.
Some of the opportunities for volunteers include:
  • Welcoming visitors when the Museum is open as part of a hosting team
  • Contributing snacks for events
  • Light maintenance and repair jobs
  • Carpentry jobs in the building and on the grounds
  • We also rely on volunteers for the many projects that the museum takes on.  If you have a skill or expertise that you think might fit in with our activities or have some new ideas, please give us a call.
  • helping out before and during events

You
may also be interested in becoming a member of our Board of Directors. The Board meets monthly. Each board member takes on additional duties such as artifact research, public relations, genealogy and/or the tasks mentioned above.
