The Museum is always excited to welcome new volunteers to the team!
Volunteers help with a number of tasks at the museum and in fact it is entirely operated by volunteers. So if you like to bake, research, write or create consider connecting with the Middleville and District Museum team. Maybe you like to dig in the dirt and design beautiful outdoor spaces. Why not give us a call? There are always light maintenance tasks and jobs that take a crew to complete.
Some of the opportunities include:
Welcoming visitors and guiding them around the museum (4 hour shifts)
Contributing snacks for events (occasional volunteer)
Light Maintenance (cleaning indoors)
Carpentry and general maintenance of the building and grounds
We also rely on volunteers for the many projects that the museum takes on. If you have a skill or expertise that you think might fit in with our activities or have some new ideas, please give us a call.
You may also be interested in becoming a member of our Board of Directors. The Board meets monthly. Each board member takes on additional duties such as artifact research, public relations, genealogy and/or the tasks mentioned above.
Spring is here and it brings new opportunities to get involved at the Museum
With the acquisition of additional land last year, the Museum is eager to get started on developing the landscape around the Museum. If you have an interest in gardening and like working with others who also do, then check out the opportunities for volunteering in our upcoming yard projects. We will be planting rock gardens, perennial flower beds and memory gardens. We are hoping to add some benches and birdhouses for visitors to enjoy. If interested, please e-mail us or give us a call.
Drop by and see what's happening at the museum. You may just decide to join us and lend a talent, skill or helping hand.
Just look at what our volunteers do for the museum!
