What the Museum Offers The Family History Researcher
​Lanark County is a unique portal of migration to the rest of North America. There are hundreds or even thousands of people living throughout Canada who are direct descendants of families who came to Lanark County. Family History Research uniquely available to researchers includes:

  2. Copies of 10,000+ pictures and documents related to local inhabitants.
  3. Tax information dating from 1850 for residents of Lanark Township
  4. Tax information for Darling Township from 1896 (early records were included with Lanark Township)
  5. Birth, Marriage & Death records for the community
  6. Assistance with your research by trained museum volunteers familiar with the museum's collections. The following information will help us assist you: timeline, other family names/connections.
